Altivar frequency converters recognized for reducing carbon emissions in industrial processes
Help the motor operate efficiently and achieve 30% energy saving
Recently, in order to better communicate climate action and raise people's environmental awareness, Schneider Electric, a global expert in digital
transformation in the field of energy management and automation, and senior members of its Sustainability Institute joined other leaders from
government, business and the climate community. Together we participated in one of the largest global climate events - New York Climate Week 2022,
and won the "International Carbon Handprint Award" in the "High Potential Carbon Handprint Innovation" category for our Altivar series inverters.
The "International Carbon Fingerprint Award" awarded at New York Climate Week 2022 aims to recognize products that have a significant positive
impact on the climate. The advantage of the Altivar series inverter is that it can support the motor to run at ideal speeds under various load conditions,
thereby reducing the motor's Improve industrial energy efficiency while reducing energy consumption.
With efficient industrial design and motor application management, Altivar series inverters can reduce energy consumption in industrial processes by 30%.
Based on an open, transparent and rigorous approach, it is estimated that between 2018 and 2021 alone, more than 140 million tons of carbon emissions have
been reduced or avoided during the service life of the inverters sold by Schneider Electric.
